Historical Milestones
Through Batas Pambansa Blg. 91 signed on December 24, 1980, Mambusao Agricultural and Technical College and Capiz Agricultural and Fishery School were merged to form the Panay State Polytechnic College.
The Capiz Institute of Technology in Roxas City, including its Dayao fisheries unit, became part of the PSPC system, strengthening the institution’s reach and academic base.
Sigma College of Science and Technology was integrated into PSPC, further expanding the college system and supporting its path toward universityhood.
Republic Act No. 9273, signed on March 21, 2004, officially converted the Panay State Polytechnic College into Capiz State University.
The University continued to strengthen its campuses, academic services, research, and governance under successive administrations, culminating in the present advocacy: Rise CAPSU, Rise Capiz!
